What is Rotary House?

Rotary House is a single family residence to house a family while their child is undergoing long-term outpatient care or  extensive long term medical or surgical procedures at Shriners Children's Hospital in Sacramento, Ca.  Rotary House will be a safe place for the child and family to stay while treatment progresses.

We are building this house to celebrate 100 years of Rotary International as a community service organization.     Seven Sacramento area Rotary clubs are working together on this centennial project.  We are coming together with our friends in the community to turn an empty lot at 4070 Second Avenue, one block west of the Shriners Hospital, into something worthwhile.

We are seeking volunteers, materials, equipment and other expertise to make this happen.  Check the volunteer registration page for specific needs and contact us at rotaryhousesac@aol.com.  We are presently finishing up the permit process with the city of Sacramento and we are scheduled to start construction in August.

Rotary is an international service club.  There are over 1.2 million Rotarians in 165 countries around the world.  The seven clubs participating in this project are in District 5180.  Visit the links page for a list of the clubs and other participating organizations.
